Two Sides Of The Fence, Both Right On
The Facehunter Show Mexico City - Episode 1, Part 1 of 2
I came across both of these items today and was surprised I hadn’t seen either of them. The video above is from The Facehunter Show (from PSFK, who were surprised it’s not on Facebook, but in their interview with Yvan Rodic, he’s right in that MySpace is still a far better creative hub). While it’s still got the sexy hipster culture appeal of the Cobrasnake and Last Night’s Party, a bit of the pretense is carved away with the funky sense of humor, weird shots and the sublty awkward command of English. Nice graphics as well.
And then Verve Photo, run by Geoffrey Hiller, which covers documentary photography in blog format. It’s a great format that we’ve been talking about exploring on Blueeyes magazine: A shot, the photographers basic background, and some commentary about the photo itself. It’s great. I should have seen it before — John’s got a shot in there and Hiller links to us at Blueeyes. Hey Geoff, you want to post over at Blueeyes for us?
